On June 17th MSL posted a list of exams that are set to retire soon. In that list, I noticed that 70-403 was on the list. This is the Configuring Virtual Machine Manager 2008 exam, and is set to retire at the end of June. Rather short notice, in my opinion.

Well as it turns out, I was trying to take this exam in the near future, needing for work and all. The company I work for is part of the MS partner network and the exam is in one of the competencies.

So I e-mailed MSL and asked them what the status is on the exam. Was something taking its place?. Well something will take its place, when VMM 2012 comes out.

But it also turns out in my e-mails with them that as of yesterday, June 21, 2011, they are extending the retirement of 70-403 to September.
